Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

It's expected to be delivered by Feb 12 to 19, and I haven't submitted any additional info, anyone interested has to schedule delivery before 4 PM EST tomorrow.

-- update: I see someone in my state is looking for one, so mostly will move it to him!

Anyone have a good resource on plastidip?

I want to try to plastidip the the allows under the Gemini. I assume I would need the pucks, a car jack, about 6-10 cans of plastidip, a mask and patience lol.

Fit & finish, reliability are lackluster. Self driving? Ha! Trust it at your own peril. This car is worth $36,999, at best! Stop paying the Elon tax. Lots of new ev that are better fit and finish.
Which one? I drove an EQS and would gladly pick the Tesla over it.

I edited the original order reservation on the website, changed it from the Long Range with rim upgrade to the Performance. The "build details" immediately showed the new car, and the estimated delivery date also immediately changed. I made the change about 2 hours before the price increase. I still don't have a VIN. But I'm not touching it anymore, because I'm thinking if I changed anything now it would be at the new higher price. I basically got the Performance at the same price that the Long Range with rim upgrade would cost now. I also just ordered the Tesla Wall Charger, so I could get that install going in time for the new arrival. To bad they don't include the mobile charger anymore, I'd also like to get that to throw in the trunk for emergency recharging.
Where do you edit the order on the website? Thinking I want to change my LR to P. Not seeing an option to do that under my account.

They finally log into their bank account and realized they can't afford it

I did it on the website. On the picture of the car, pick "manage", then in top right hand corner select the drop down "your car", then near the bottom select "edit design". Then you can change whatever you want and "save" it or "cancel". The only thing is if you had the old lower price and you change it, the new design will probably be at the new higher price. It will also potentially move your delivery date either closer or later depending on changes. When I changed from Long Range to Performance, it moved my date up earlier.

Also, only the original registrant can do this. If you are a co-registrant you can only see the car, but not make changes. The original registrant has to make the changes. Example being a husband and wife both on the title/registration. Whoever was the first person to sign up can change it, the second person with an invitation to be a co-registrant can only view but not change anything.

They like the sound of their voice. In this case they like the sight of their rant.
