Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

On the 60 month term and 72 month term you WILL need to have direct deposit to get the 2.49 for 60 month rate and 3.49 for 72 month rate. You have to have the direct deposit go in before they will give you the discounted rate. If no direct deposit, your 60 month rate is 2.99 and the 72 month rate is 3.99. GLTY!

Membership took a couple of days. I kept calling until I found out who the membership processor was.

Not sure if the govt's push towards electrifying America is working its magic but it feels like I woke up one day and just decided to go for it. been knee-deep in getting solar quotes (and ofcourse, there's always the ancillary stuff like main panel upgrades and permits and running a new wire/conduit for EV charger), and now that stuff is finalized, I realized we don't have an EV yet.
our ICE car lease is up next month and in the market for model y.
so, for folks in the Bay area or SoCal, if you'd like to give up your MYLR (black interior), I would be happy to take it off your hands.
don't qualify for the tax credits and if delivery takes a couple of months, so be it. meanwhile, I'll keep looking on CL and FB for used ones.
I just got my Y this morning, so now I have a '19 Midrange M3 with FSD, if you're interested. It's definitely not a new MYLR, but it's an awesome EV.

Picked up today. PF68X build, so came from Fremont.
-included Matrix headlights
-no mudflaps or PPF
-no panel gap issues
-everything else was good, except for a couple very minor paint spots where there is a small piece of lint and/or a imperfection. Will have to get it repaired eventually at their paint shop.
Congrats!!!thank you for updating!I just come back from Tesla service center and was told by SA, all MYLR/P will have Matrix in the close future. Let's see if it is true.

This morning, I found an inventory (increased price) MYLR White/Black with 20" induction wheels. I went ahead and placed an order hoping that delivery will be quick, VIN is assigned, but delivery now shows 2/25 to 3/3. I have a slight concern if it was a cancellation or rejection, but I guess only pre-delivery inspection can answer that. Anyone that ordered from inventory share their experience on how quickly delivery was scheduled?
When you switched the car to inventory item, did they adjust the price to reflect the price range you had during initial order date or they applied the current price?

I already finished plaid verification for Bank of america account in tesla app. I'm not getting loan through tesla , but through by local credit union. Just isn't clear how am I supposed to make downpayment. will the app tell me when to do a down payment? and do I just do that using the tied BOA account during pick up?
If you have say $10k down, the app will prompt you to make final payment about 24hr before scheduled delivery. You can actually wait until you go to pickup the car before you pay via plaid.

Can't answer that, it's up to you if spending $2000 more is worth it to you.

I know I already missed the bus at reduced price. Hence debating, whether to order it or not.

Thats extremely quick. I ordered from inventory on 2/10 and my delivery is 2/23 - 3/23.
I spoke to Tesla sales - was told that inventory car I ordered just rolled off Austin production line and is in transit to delivery location in SoCal. The rep was also able to schedule my delivery a week out. I would recommend calling the delivery location and select delivery option to speak to an advisor. Good luck!
