Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Nope, it doesn't matter. All Model Ys qualify so long as MSRP is below $80k and from looking at Telsa, even if you include EVERYTHING including Full Self Driving, you are still below $80k.

FYI software options don't count toward the cap, only things physically delivered from the factory on the vehicle

seems like Tesla's inventory is rapidly rising again
demand dead perhaps due to the price increases and rapidly approaching march deadline?

By rapidly rising do you mean like instead of 1 day of builds they have 2?

https://ev-cpo.com/

This says there's 2416 new Model 3s and 1779 Model Ys... so a little over 4000 cars.

Which is roughly 2 days of US factory output.

Thankyou so much.

One more question, if you have two names on the title, do you do two of these or squeeze two names on one?

You can do an api call to Tesla to see your vin. It typically updates here earlier than the app, sometimes a few days ahead from what I have read.

Has anyone done the trade-in through Tesla? How's your experience?

I finally got the VIN after ordering the MYLR 7 seater in 1/14 NJ.

Anyone with experience with Tower FCU? Question- my membership finally got approved yesterday after SEVERAL hour long calls. Now, the loan underwriter wouldn't pick-up my calls. When I call the general line, they say they will email her blah blah blah. I need to pick-up car on 27th Feb. They have everything as far as I know, but check hasn't been mailed yet to Tesla. Is it too late for the check to get to Tesla and for me to pick-up on Monday-27th? TIA.

All Austin made MYLR has the global headlights (not matrix).
