Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

My pick up date is 4th of Mar. MYLR. Is it worth letting go of the current order and placing a new one for HW4? Assuming I will take a 3.5k hit for reduction in federal tax credit and $500 in increased price.

I am planning on keeping this car at least for10 years and plan on using FSD subscription when road tripping.

What y'all think?
Only if life is so simple ! But Tesla being tesla, car price may be jacked up to 70k+ or back to 53k when HW4 is released !

If you dont need a car right now and dont mind whatever the market rate, you can certainly wait.

I used MyQ app on the phone.
I'm very disappointed because even my old car 2009 van can have "integrated" homelink to control the garage.

So can your Tesla. It's a $350 option and then there's no monthly fee as I already mentioned.

Seems better than putting the HW in every car and charging every buyer for it upfront even those who would never use it.

The monthly fee is for folks who want to use MyQ instead of the older homelink system- and the fee isn't from Tesla it's from the people who own MyQ, who charge every car owner that wants to use in-car MyQ integration.

I'm seeing new inventory at my location. I know I will loose half the credit, but still is it worth to wait HW 4.0? Or go with current inventory? Also, looks Iike ppl started canceling orders suddenly.

When I first got the MyQ garage door opener, when installing the app I activated all of the integrations then even though I wasn't using anything. I'm hoping that allow the Tesla integration to run for free.

Wishful thinking.... will find out in a few weeks.

Planning to pay 15k for FSD beta?

Otherwise I gather it won't matter much to the average driver.

That's myq themselves explaining it.

You get 30 days free, then need to pay MyQ for either a 1, 5, or 10 year subscription plan priced at $45/yr, $179/5 yr, or $299 for 10 years.

Was wondering if we can just get a home link module.

No. I won't need FSD for daily commute. However, when we go on road trips, it is a must. So I plan on using subscription in the short term.

A couple of years down the lane, I may just bite the bullet and get FSD.

Lot of cancellations lately.. perhaps due to March 1st event and new tech coming in few months. Also new battery which can be charged to 100%
