Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

My previous car had 360 camera which was useful for parking. I could see how much space I had in front of me when parallel parking. Did USS also provide video of the front bumper?

How are people using the cameras for figuring out space between you and the front of the car without USS? There is a dashcam from Sentry mode but I can't figure out how to view it when parking. I only have standard autopilot. Do people just eye-ball it now?
I'm new to the model Y and love it so far. But parking is a bit of a problem for me. I have to make an effort to see the front of the car. Can't see the sides. I just guess! I park out there alone whenever possible, so not crazy for me. But cameras on front bumpers or sensors would be nice.

That's myq themselves explaining it.

You get 30 days free, then need to pay MyQ for either a 1, 5, or 10 year subscription plan priced at $45/yr, $179/5 yr, or $299 for 10 years.
Personally, I'm not even giving a thought to paying to open the garage. I have the opener already on my visor, and i have the app on my phone. Done! homelink would've been nice, but it's not here.

Picked up the MYP today, besides small swirl marks and scuffs here and there, everything else was great, there are some small small panel gap but nothing out of the ordinary, paint was great, head lights aligned perfectly. I think I got a unicorn.

Oh and it came with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 instead of the shitty Pirelli
I received mine around 2 weeks ago. I think I got a Unicorn too. I haven't found any issues with it. I'm still looking. I'm not clear on what changes after the 100 miles are exceeded, compared to warranty. But everything's been great. Buying process was different and required me double and triple checking to make sure I did everything correctly, but everything went smoothly aside from that.

MYLR Local inventory at my location is growing day by day. It seems ppl are canceling orders.

You're in Utah, right? I only see ONE long range listed in inventory-
https://www.tesla.com/inventory/n...&range=200

Plus 7 standard range ones....and most of those aren't actually "in" inventory they say coming soon so they're on their way from Austin to Utah in transit.

Nationally -I only see 366 new Model Ys of any trim in the entire country right now in inventory.... that's significantly less than 1 day of factory output.

it's not there- but it's an available option (homelink that is).

The homelink folks charge a license fee to every car it goes into at the factory-- regardless of if you need or want it... by making it optional it lets people who do NOT want/need it not pay for it anyway.

If you do, you can get it.

Zero MYLR in my area, they're all SR with add-ons, not great value imo

Seems like you're reading the "Local inventory" incorrectly. Most aren't LR, and if people cancel orders, they don't just show up in local inventory. They'd need to reject a delivery, and if the price is like it was from last month, those would get sniped right away

There are plenty of pictures online with red stealth ppf. I looks really awesome.

I just can't warrant spending that much on that though as where I am, it's at least $5.5k for full ppf wrap.
I think red stealth would look nice but some YouTube videos I saw seem off (maybe just poor quality). Thing is once you pay, you wrap - turning back isn't an option.

What state are you in?

NY here. Have had a few people quote me at 4k for stealth wrap.

Most fall in 4500-6000 though.

We've done a lot of asset allocation with our funds. This is a bit of enjoy life spend. All work no play makes for a boring life lol. Just a personal position - not financial advice for anyone. LoL.

Question for those using Tower for financing. The POA letter asks for an account number in the first paragraph. What account number should I put there? I have member number, savings and checking numbers so not sure what they need there.
Also, it says they need "original notarize poa". Would they l accept a digital form uploaded to their site or do I need to send them the original?
Car is ready for pick up and trying to see if I can get this tower loan finalized…

Actual inventory is indeed growing. Though only 40 available for immediate pickup, and 320+ in production which are mostly if not all SR. Still better than the 10 or so in-inventory for the last few weeks.

Here's proof Tesla is building a new mfg plant in Mexico. It was the worst kept secret this past year with some Mexican families I know that bought hundreds of acres local to this new plant. It's a given that the Fremont plant will close in 2024. Musk is paying too much to operate in CA and this makes sense to avoid the regs and give the finger to the unions. Makes perfect sense since other mfg's have been building cars there for 20 years.

WA State, HCOL. Good shop that did quality work for my tint ($550 for Xpel XR+ for all around except windshield and roof) quoted me $5,500 for full PPF, additional if I wanted stealth.

There was a guy on one of the Tesla forums who paid $2,500 1+ year ago in Louisiana which is extremely low. I've seen mostly $5k-7k for stealth PPF.

He's not closing Fremont. He's expanding elsewhere and has been. He did moved HQ from CA to TX but still retain a large presence in the area. Even more so, engineering HQ in California was announced just last week. https://electrek.co/2023/02/22/te...dquarters/

I financed with Tower 4 weeks ago and never provided a POA, but this may be different for your situation. May be best just to reach out to confirm.

The account number should be your Tower FCU member number or your loan number. I would email them and ask to confirm.
