Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

To those that applied with GCFCU.
They are asking for 2 paystubs or your 2021 & 2022 tax returns, the vin number for the Tesla and the lease agreement. I had to explain that this isn't a lease and I don't have the vin number. Since they posted that on their site I think they are making it harder for some.

Same thing they asked of me and I've been approved and picked my car up last Saturday. You just send the vin to them when you get it 🤷 ♀️

My cousin is not ready to take his delivery, VIN is assigned. If interested ping me to takeover his reservation. Asking order fee $250, it was booked at 52990.

Location - Chicago
W/B/19
I'm pretty sure that once the VIN is assigned, you cannot change the name of the primary registrant. You can only add a co-registrant.

Not certain, but you might be able to request Tesla to delay delivery, which would give that VIN to someone else, and put him back in the queue. Which would then possibly allow him to assign it to someone else.

Originally ordered 1/18. Long range Red exterior with black interior, 19" Gemini.
EDD:
2/8-3/8
2/21-3/21
3/8-3/31

Followed current inventory on Waitingfortesla.com and the discord bot feed. Found a in stock red with black interior but 20" induction. I switched to it on Sunday and picked up yesterday. Staff was confident I would have got my originally ordered 19" red by the end of March but I didn't want to risk IRS announcing guidance sooner. Couldn't be happier with Rocklin, CA customer service.

Nice. Congrats. I also picked up mine from Rocklin, CA, and they service was awesome. I had to bring it back for a couple minor paint/rattling issues, and they resolved it quickly and painlessly.

Did they honor the price of the MYLR (before the $500 or $1,500 increase) from when you ordered on 1/18 plus the $2,000 for the induction wheels? Or did you pay $3,500 or $4,000 more for the switch?

Kind of a deal on some basic mats for Model Y.

SUPER LINER Tesla Model Y [amazon.com]

Front License plate mount

TesFram Front License Plate Mount [amazon.com]
Do not order the Super Liner mats. I had them ordered in January while waiting for my delivery, then had them installed. The material quality was decent, however the fit was not. In approximately a week since the install they developed 3/4" - 1 " gaps on the passenger side. I placed the product review with Amazon but it got suppressed. I am returning mine after haggling with Amazon CS as I was out of the return policy.

To get pre-approved u don't need to give them VIN and final purchase order agreement. Just 2 paystubs and proof of current auto insurance.

Only when u need to finalize the loan do u need the VIN and final purchase order agreement.

has anyone seen this status on their tower loan?

Cfio

uploaded everything by the loan expiration deadline but looks like my loan officer was out and it's almost close to impossible to get through tower with such a long wait time and today status changed. Not sure if that means I missed the deal..

They honored my price at ordering. Just had to pay the additional $2,000 for the induction wheels

I'm going to do a service request for a minor gap near the tail lights and the driver window seal. Other than that no complaints. Even got 90% charge. Seem to see a lot of people on forums pick up around 50%
