Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.
  • Refer to the forum thread for additional deal discussion.

Hi all, where can I find a good deal on the floor mat and such for model Y? TIA
It would be extremely helpful if SD can provide a search function to search thru all pages in this thread.

Thinking: If EV credits are reduced by IRS by 50% this month, there is a possibility of Musk offering prices reduced on MYLR below the 52990 initial offer in Jan. Maybe $51990? Any thoughts? I have reservation at 54990 base model MYLR. I wanted different color with white interior without any software upgrades. MA 55k cap limited me to base model colors. Delivery date at present is April 23-June 4. Again, any thoughts on price going down given stock taking a hit on declining sales at that time along with increase in interest rate. Thanks!
Why do people keep thinking IRS will change the insensitive?

If anyone in Raleigh or Charlotte area not taking the delivery then let me know. I have an order placed which is scheduled to deliver April 3rd - May 8th. One of our cars was a total loss in an accident a couple of months back and I was hoping to get delivery in March.

Tesla floor mats are weather tech rebrand and they suck - the fit is awkward and the driver foot rest doesn't go all the way up.

Some of their stuff is worth, others just rebrand and overpriced.

Because that's what the IRS said on their website, they will be releasing guidance in March on the qualification of the $7,500 EV tax credit based on battery component sourcing and mineral sourcing.

I would suggest the otrifowd mats. They have the full sets. Also their trunk bins fit perfectly. Minor complaint on the mats as seen in the first pic below. Second picture is for the bins with cover - they fit my MYLR5 perfectly and look OEM.

Other items to pick up:
- Matte screen protector for glare and easy fingerprint cleanup (went with spigen on Amazon)
- console tray (also went with spigen on Amazon)
- car jack puck in case the tire center/garage doesn't have them to lift your Tesla (Tesla Model 3, Y, S, X Lifting Jack pad - 4 Pack https://a.co/d/jjWoMs4)

Fianlly pickup my first car.

Ordered MYLR on Jan 18th, NY area. Basic configuration, white exterior black interior. Originally EDD is March 26-March 31. Revived my VIN# on Feb 22th. Schedule to delivery on March 6th on the app. Called ahead to confirm I can pickup earlier ( March 4th). Car is Austin built. Glovebox is not working, sesame seed size intact red spot on right passage side door. Financed with local MCU at 3.5% for 60 months.

Hope this help.

And according to all the SA at my local pickup, there's no guarantee those that picked up from March 1 to present will receive the $7500 credit, even though the meeting hasn't even taken place, let alone new guidance. EEK!LMAO

Why would you take tax advice from a Tesla SA ??? Don't think the govt is in a hurry to screw Americans buying American made products that are designed to help the environment!!
