Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

Just don't use them no matter what.
They purposely delayed my account application so my rate would lapse.
This was going on the whole Feb, and I applied last week of Jan.
Asking for duplicate documentation, not answering anything of my Q's.., etc... pure incompetence.

No, I had to take Tesla's financing at 5.4%.
Still looking at a better rate. Should have applied to Gold Coast when I saw Tower screwing around, but then they switched only to FL residents.
Definitly need a better rate. Leaving $10k on the table over 5 years is not a good deal in my book. lol

What rates are you guys seeing now? I know some mentioned they are taking longer term with good rates and putting them in high yields or other investments.

Anyone having any indication on Treasury/IRS guidance coming this month? Keeping fingers crossed that it comes later than earlier! Still waiting for my car to schedule pick up. Thanks.

I was able to get car loan with Sea Air FCU @ rate 3.75% (after failure with GCFCU). It just took a few days to get the loan, so quick.

If you're interested with Sea Air FCU, please PM me I can give you a very good associate contact.

Thanks and congratulations. What's was your loan term (years)? Also what is the eligibility criteria to join that FCU? Thanks.

I wouldn't be surprise if they do not announce the new guidance until next month, due to the bank issues going on right now.

So basically they didn't honor the 4/3/23 rate lock as previously announced. I just know that Tower only promised 30 day preapproval and I guess the people that said they were able to get their 2.99% rate extended they must have talked with an agent and provided a valid reason that they were able to notate that on their account. Well I guess at this point its best to look for a different CU for financing. I still have membership with Tower FCU since I signed up for it in hopes of getting an auto loan but I am thinking of closing everything and not deal with them anymore.

3.75 that's a great rate given what I'm seeing locally at my CU! How long of a term? Was hoping maybe 60months
