Deal Details
Tesla has dropped the base price of the Tesla Model Y from $65,990 down to $52,990. This price reduction means the Model Y now qualifies for the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit (details here).

Thanks to Community Member MurraytheDemonSkull for finding this deal.

Additionally, the base prices of all Tesla vehicles have been reduced. The base Model 3 is now $43,990, which is $3,000 lower than before. The Model 3 Performance is now $53,990, which is $9,000 lower than before, and now qualifies for the tax credit.

Editor's Notes

Written by RazorConcepts
  • This is $13,000 lower (19% savings) than the previous base price.
  • Factoring in the tax credit, the price of the Model Y today is $20,000 less than one purchased in December 2022.
  • To qualify for the federal tax credit, one must not exceed the following adjusted gross income limits:
    • $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
    • $225,000 for heads of households
    • $150,000 for all other filers
  • The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

I think the OP means that he wants to transfer his reservation to someone that would want to take over especially if it was locked in at a lower price instead of cancelling the reservation not being able to recoup the $250. If OP transfer the reservation to someone who wants it, he would be able to recoup the $250 deposit back.

Tesla showroom are not allowing transfer. Hang tight and you are not missing things. come July or even sept, Tesla has to keep on lower prices and they will lower Tesla
Y below 50k. Look article
published today in Barrons. Auto loan rejections are high and it tough for any other car manfactures. See how today Tesla owner Elon Musk is putting tweet to Fed to lower 50 point basis and not increase Interest rates, since he knows credit lending is going to be tough down the road and he will have tough time to sell Tesla Y. https://www.barrons.com/articles/...t-43ac1127

Just cargo cover for sure. Some states I think they have been getting mud flaps and some areas with PPF I think only like in the Northwest states like Oregon/Washington.

Confirmed new radar going into tesla model Y by end of year. There was a scathing report about Tesla engineers fighting to keep it and undoubtedly the reason it is back. Lack of radar is just less safe. Full stop. Period. Anyway, I don't have radar so will probably sell my car when warranty is almost up so I can get hardware 4 and radar.

This is truly a terrible model Y. No USS sensors. No radar. 2023 model is literally a major technological downgrade

Did model Y in 2022, 2021 and earlier had this radar?

Can you please share the link to your claim? Thanks.

So true. Tesla is more concerned with cutting costs and removing basic features that we have come to expect in a modern automobile. I for one will not be holding on to my Y past three years.

Google is your friend. Its all over the EV news.

Sadly this model is basically dead on arrival. I would wait unless you are itching to get one and cant wait

If eligible (by region), you typically get both. Also MN and IL have been receiving it. I would think the north east should get them as well.

Some have said that they were already installed. My friends and I had to request through the a service request in the app.

Also the new radar is much improved from old one. Should give less phantom breaking and a vastly superior autosteer on highways.
