I have a similar Asus laptop with the Ryzen 7 4700U processor and it is fast and reliable and actually got better benchmarks than the comparable Intel version. Unfortunately, the RAM on this model is not upgradeable Frown

Is this a dedicated graphics GPU? If so, I'm curious to know if this processor + graphics combo is better than the Acer Swift (Ryzen 7 6800 + integrated Graphics) https://www.costco.com/acer-swift...56371.html that I picked up a couple of weeks ago for $999.

The 6800U will be a little bit faster for general computing than the 5800U but the 680M iGPU is no match for the 3050 Ti in graphics performance. The Acer is almost 2 pounds lighter though.

Edit: Yes, it's dedicated GPU btw.

What do you use it for? I've been gaming on 680m just fine. Just don't expect high on intense games.

Personally portability and battery life out weigh few times I want to game. Can also use egpu

I was very surprised to learn that this version doesn't support USB C charging. It's only available on the Intel version.

This laptop is way faster both in cpu and gpu power compared to your Costco one.

OLED and 4k glossy means this will be the best you have seen any content on a laptop. So if you care about streaming and have gone away from full home theater setups as I have (ex. Audio/videophile), this is a great way to get your content.

This laptop should be in the $700 price range, it's not the latest Ryzen CPU and an older, slowrr 3050 GPU.
