Looks good, but If we don't have a Hue Hub is it not worth it?

Depends on if you want to start a Hue addiction or not. (I think it's still worth it)

Is a sensor required for the security light to work?

One of the images here says to make sure you have the Philips Hue Hub installed.

I don't see any battery mention in the description, this is hard wired...

I could use these, but does hue sell a color version of the bulb? I'd love to put this in front of my house, but all the other lights in front are colored hue, would love to be able to complement them with this...

also, since this is hard wired, how the heck would I know if there's any way to run electricity to the place I want to put it? if it isn't already there am I out of luck or is this something an electrician can easily add to any spot on my outside wall? (I know zero about this crap so forgive me if this is a stupid question!)

Good price compared to its "normal" (or what Woot calls 'pointless') price.

However, two missing features for my usage make me pass on it:
1) No built-in motion sensor
2) the PAR38 bulbs cannot change white color (not looking for RGB color changing).

Crazy they don't have a motion sensor. Not security without.

Yes...this is a dusk to dawn light. Would have been nice to have integrated motion sensor

If you have anything electrical around there like a plug or light an electrician might be able to feed the light from there. Worst case they would have to install a new line at the breaker box. However if so you could install some plugins outside at the same time.

Seems like a solid deal. Especially if you already have Hue.

I agree this should just be labeled dusk to dawn light.

The outdoor Hue motion sensor should be able to trigger any of these upon motion or any HomeKit/homebridge camera or other accessory if you have an existing smarthome setup like I do.

My issue is that all of my existing flood lights are on switches. Some 3/4-way so if I accidentally turn any of them off, the hue system is worthless. They now make a cover to go over existing switches to keep from using it with a scene selector on top. Seems like a good solution but some of my switches are in multi gang boxes that may make them incompatible as I think they are for single switches.

Yes tape may work but looks bad, or just remove the load wire off of the existing switch and wire nut for safety but I'd prefer not to.

I do like my hue lights but existing switches create problems for me.
