My friend recommended Fresh Foam shoes to me and I ignored it for a while since they were more expensive than New Balance's usual foam. After some ankle issues, I got a pair of Fresh Foam trail runners, and after wearing them, I'm never going back to the cheaper foam. It does such a better job at keeping my ankles and knees fresher on my long hikes. I highly recommend them.

everyone should have Joe's bookmarked at this point. i've bought too many pairs from them. i feel like this post could include the 880 for $63 and the 1080 for $70 also

Any recommendations on the arishi vs 880 vs 1080. I've heard so much good things about the 1080 but they only have my size in narrow. Not sure I should go that route.

Arishi is kind of a cheaper version of the 880, a daily trainer, and the 1080 is awesome but not for everyone, the heel is kinda weird and it has the sock-like fit which not everyone likes. my advice is to get the 880 for $63 instead of the Arishi for $35, but either is phenomenal value.

Is the Arishi foam as soft as the 880/1080?

The Roav was way harder then the 880/1080.

It's all the same foam, just different amounts in different places. The Roav has a lot in the heel, it's a casual shoe. Arishi and 880 have similar amounts of Fresh Foam and are both designed for easy running. The 1080 is a step up from both in cushioning and performance
