Get $300 with a new checking account and another $200 with a new savings account with qualifying activities. Plus, get an extra $400 bonus when you open both accounts at the same time. TOTAL $900.

Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking and one new savings account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use.

To receive the checking bonus:
1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval;

AND 2) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the savings bonus:
1) Open a new Chase SavingsSM account, which is subject to approval;

2) Deposit a total of $15,000 or more in new money into the new savings account within 30 days of coupon enrollment;

AND 3) Maintain at least a $15,000 balance for 90 days from the coupon enrollment. The new money cannot be funds held by you at Chase or its affiliates. After you have completed all the above savings requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days.

To receive the extra bonus:
You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new account within 15 days.

To receive any of the above bonuses, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).

Early Account Termination Fee
If you close either account within 6 months of account opening, you will forfeit the bonus.
23% return on investment, not bad at all.

$900 / $15,500 = 0.058

0.058 * 4 quarters = 23%
lol what? You're getting $900 for 90 days with $15,000. You need to redo your math.

I might just take the leap and close the accounts. I don't recall seeing the 6 month rule when I signed up, and I remember checking for it. Can't you just empty the accounts so there is a $0 balance and then close? I don't plan on ever banking with them again, so don't care if the accounts go negative.

My understanding was the 15k needs to stay in savings for 90 days from funding, but it says above 90 days from coupon enrollment? (I got the bonuses). Just wondering if I can transfer 10k to keep the 5k in combined account balance to avoid fees...

Can't you keep $300 in Savings and $1500 in checking to avoid fees on either account? Then you can do something more lucrative with the other $3200 of that $5k.

I received the $200 and $400 bonuses on 4/25. I transferred all funds out of checking and saving accounts and then sent a SM to close both accounts on 5/4. Chase responded on 5/5 that the accounts will be closed with no mention of forfeiting bonuses. I no longer see the accounts in the app on 5/6.

You can go ahead and close both accounts if you want after receiving the bonuses. There is no need to keep the accounts open for 6 months since the terms do not state that requirement.

You will probably get a CC offer. I have two with Chase that came with bonus offers.

Did anyone else's bonus tracker say, "offer expired" after completing the 90 days?

Yes. Wait a few days, and it will change to "Congrats! You earned a $200.00 account bonus." $200 and $400 extra bonus will be deposited to your account.

I was able to get the bonus and I had the offer expired showing. I wouldn't worry about it.

So after seeing the comment about the 6 month requirement, I messaged Chase to ask if there was a month requirement to keep the account open to not forfeit the bonuses. They responded and said it was 6 months. I replied back and asked for the terms and conditions or paperwork referencing this because I didn't find it in any email or new account paperwork. They responded back apologizing for for giving the wrong info by the previous rep and said there is no 6 month requirement. Lol, caught!

I've satisfied the requirements and never got the bonus. I called Chase and they told me that (1) this offer never existed or (2) if it did, I either didn't apply the coupon code or I wasn't eligible in my region.

I had customer service open a ticket and read to them the offer terms on the dead promotion webpage found here on the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20230...ng/QK72296

You will see that coupon codes are automatically applied for this promotion, so Chase appears to be having an issue on their end with applying the coupon codes to accounts. Moreover, there is no indication that this offer was unavailable nationwide. $900 is a lot of money to promise people and not give them..

When you transferred funds out of your Chase accounts, did you use ACH?
