Google is offering Google Stadia Users: Stadia Controller Update to Unlock Bluetooth Mode in Stadia Controllers for Free.

  • Note, click "Switch to Bluetooth Mode" to begin the Update
About this Update:
  • Switching to Bluetooth mode downloads a software update
  • System requirements: Chrome 108 or newer
  • Once you switch your controller to Bluetooth mode, you can't change it back to use Wi-Fi on Stadia. You can still play wired with USB in Bluetooth mode.
  • You can switch to Bluetooth mode, check the controller mode, and check for Bluetooth updates until Dec 31, 2023.
F.A.Qs:
  • How do I pair my controller using Bluetooth?
    • After switching your controller into Bluetooth mode, press and hold the "Y + Stadia" buttons for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. The status light will flash orange.
    • Then, go to the device you want to play on and pair your controller in the settings. Once paired and connected, the status light on the controller will turn solid white.

I got the refund to a card that had the number changed and it still went back on to the card correctly. Not sure where that person got their info.

just realized I got refund from them but I used paypal key card.... not seeing the the refund in paypal... anyone knows what to do?

Amazed for the refund in the first place, and so excited for the Bluetooth. Stadia controller will be what I play the Kingdom Hearts series as soon as I gift it to myself..

Google now allows you to convert existing Stadia controllers to bluetooth using the website in the link.

Once done, wifi connectivity to the device is removed permanently but bluetooth will allow it to connect to any PC or gaming device.

Offer expires 12/31/2023

Yes ! My new all time favorite controller for Tesla. Recently plugged in the controller and it works great. With the BT enabled soon, I will definitely keep a pair of these in the car being use wirelessly

I thought I would share this for those of you with Stadia controllers laying around.

Google finally released the ability to unlock the Bluetooth on your Stadia controllers so they will work with PC's, Android, IOS etc...
