In addition, many of you have expressed the desire to enable Bluetooth on the Stadia controller. We have some good news: next week we'll be releasing a self-serve tool to enable Bluetooth connections on your Stadia Controller. We'll share details next week on how to enable this feature.

Mine worked fine within the steam infrastructure (steam deck specifically). Recognized it and treated similarly to an Xbox controller

You will need the following:
1. A USB-C data cable
2. Chrome 108 or higher
3. The understanding that this is a one-way permanent change to your controller and it will no longer be a Stadia Wi-Fi controller (not that it really matters at this point)
4. The understanding that you have from now until the end of 2023 to install the software and upgrade your controller

In Bluetooth mode, headphones won't work when you plug them into the Stadia Controller. To hear audio over headphones, connect them to the device that your Stadia Controller is paired with, or connect your controller with a USB cable.
After shutdown, the Google Assistant Assistant button and Capture Capture button buttons will not open Google Assistant or capture game clips.
I liked Stadia, but I only really played 1 game on it.... Cyberpunk 2077. It was the best way to play it without having to own a supercomputer or play on gimped/buggy console versions. 90% of the time I couldn't even tell I was streaming it was so smooth. I completed that game a long time ago.... and Google still gave me a full price refund for it 2 years after the fact. That is crazy and I wasn't expecting it.
Google pulls out of projects too soon. Stadia needed another 3-5 years to get more titles and increase user count. But instead they took it out behind the barn and shot it.
edit - oh the controller has to be fully charged before you can switch to BT mode, even though it's plugged in. Um, ok. Mine was dead as a doorknob after being in a drawer for 2 years.
