Just a heads up on the refund bonus, it's only on the Federal return. I usually owe the Feds but get a refund from state to offset it, but everyone has a different situation. I mistakenly thought (the first year they did it) that it would apply to all refunds.

We itemize, file jointly, and had rental property for 10 years, so "medium complexity" for a return. Nothing crazy.
IMHO, both are actually pretty terrible, but still beats doing it on paper or using a barebones freefile program (which are fine for EZ or really simple situations).
This is the worst possible tax software. Except for all the others
