Any thoughts on this? We've seen this price a couple times in the past week or two.

Also, are the V6/58 attachments compatible with this?

The 7 was made after the 6 and 8 so they changed the style of connections , if you need one now costco has the 10 for $399, it will break eventually so then you can return it

V6 has a different connector. V7 and later should all be compatible. I have the V7 but recently picked up the refurb V10 on the eBay deal for $250. What a difference in power and runtime. V7 is decent, but the upgrade was worth it.

I got my v8 in 2018 for 199 new. It's been fantastic but idk about a v7 nowadays seems like the LG, Sharks, and Samsungs at similar price points are better

And the newer ones from the brands are comparable to the new Dyson

Just my two cents

I got the V7 in 2018 for $199. Today the battery doesn't work that well. Dyson vacs are good for about 4 years. My old ORECK carpet vacuum is still running strong 30 years later.

You can use Milwaukee and Dewalt batteries with a converter on v6 v7 and v8

I wasnt trying to say that, i think the v8 has more suction, but i was just stating the design came out after the v8 so the attachments are more like the v10 i believe...

V7 is ok, it the emptying bin is dumb. The power is ok the weaker side. I just found a working one at goodwill for $15. I also have a v10 and lg zero. The lg zero I kinda like better and is more quiet.

I have a v7 it's pretty weak and battery runs out really quickly on high power mode which makes it fairly useless for anything but spot cleaning ... Regret buying it, will look into Dewalt battery upgrade might make it actually useful.

Why not? It's literally just removing 3 screws. If your battery wears out that's a part you have to replace anyway.

You're thinking of V6, which is fine imho, just use a chopstick to clean out if you have pet hair.

The V7 empty is the one you hold over trash can, pull the latch and the entire cylinder pops up so the bottom completely empties. Probably the best improvement Dyson has ever made, works amazing.
