So no comments on this deal? Seems like a pretty easy buy for Prime members, and useful to have around the house for baking.

Ok, I'll give this a shot. Delivery isn't expected until Feb 5-8 though.

For those of you that have a Kroger nearby, through tomorrow they have toll house bags (including semi sweet, white, and milk) regularly $3.69 on sale for $.99. I may have bought more than I should.

It is, but that is industry standard wording.

The big question is... how do they taste? My favorite brand is Guittard, but they've gotten very expensive in the last few years...

IMO they taste pretty similar to lower end chocolate chips, like Walmart's Great Value. So while they aren't horrible, they aren't high end in taste nor mouthfeel; not too noticeable mixed into cookies. I've bought these at this price before and plan on picking up some more.

Nice deal. Beats Costco chips by $.06/ounce. Also uses chocolate liquor, so should be a decently made chip!

I've long believed that Amazon just uses those stock warnings to get us to place hurried orders. What you're describing happens all the time, and it happened with me with this product too. I didn't end up buying it, but it originally said there were only 8 in stock and then the next day there was no warning at all.

Incidentally, my local BJs has Nestle ones for $9.99 for 72 ounces, which is effectively the same price for the same amount (3 bags) as the one posted here. So that's why I held off. Could be good to pair with some other item to get a larger no-rush bonus or something, though.
