4TB MX500 has QLC variant [wordpress.com] now you won't know if this is TLC or QLC model unless open it only 4 phillips screws 2 on each sides hold the SSD enclosure. Or use SMI Flash ID tool to see the specs.

Also can be found at Best Buy.

I was originally looking to purchase this from Amazon, but after reading some feedback some buyers received the 500GB version instead of 4TB. Also, while shipping was free, it was not 2-day Prime

Hope this helps someone.

* Thinks "would be nice".

* Thinks back to the various hard disks / memory cards collecting dust because haven't found time yet to put them to use.

I bought this during BF when it was $270. I didn't get it in time before I left for vacation. When I got back and opened it it was the 250GB one. Not even the 500GB one.

Of course there was no way to reorder with the "sale" price. Luckily, on Christmas Eve I checked again. $238+tax! Way better! So I set off to return the wrong item one and waited. And waited. And waited. I'm still waiting right now. It was suppose to be delivered last week but I kept getting emails that it got pushed back.

I honestly don't know when I'm getting it as they basically sent one final email saying, "tough shit we don't know when this is shipping"

So keep that in mind. I probably would have canceled and bought from another one of these companies if it wasn't for the 5% back from Amazon CC and the fact that I still have some space left before all my hard drives are full. Super annoying all around.

Amazon's return policies suck now too. They're getting worse and worse with returns and deliveries.

After seeing this thread in regards to recent failure rates, I cancelled my already backordered one from the last sale a few weeks ago:
