i did the soap and toothpaste deal and redeemed $4 from Wags cash. I don't see any new earned wags cash in my account. did redeeming wags cash cancel out redeeming more wags cash from this deal?

I did exactly what you did, and after I picked up my order, my account now has $9 wags cash in it.

You goto be careful, if you use earned wags they don't apply the new earned wags to be earned, always check at the bottom where it tells you pending rewards.

Yes... I got this message when I applied Wags Cash: Any portion of your order paid for with Walgreens Cash rewards is not eligible to earn Walgreens Cash rewards. Total rewards earned for online purchases will be awarded to the Member's account once the entire order is shipped, picked up or delivered.

Looks like they're no longer going to accept the rolling of Walgreens cash. For those that used Walgreens cash and received Walgreens cash back from their order, looks like they haven't completely implemented the new policy in their system yet, so YMMV if you plan to use Walgreens cash on a order.

I think it's always been like this, but you have to know the difference in WAGS promos. One is get bonus WAGS for a quantity purchase (like get $5 WAGS with purchase of 2 SoftSoap) -- those promos are independent of $$ you spent, and you can use WAGS to pay there AND get the bonus WAGS. Others are dependent on $$ spent (ie spend $20 earn $4 WAGS), and using WAGS on those promos may prevent you from earning bonus WAGS. In this example, if you use $2 WAGS to pay for that $20 purchase, you would not qualify for the bonus $4 WAGS -- they count you only spent $20-$2WAGS =$18. I think you'd have to spend $22 in this example to qualify for a chance at the $4 bonus WAGS if using the $2 WAGS to help pay. But YMMV -- check the summary of WAGS earned on your purchase before you hit order and/or you can always return your entire order if you don't get the bonus WAGS you expect (in which case the manager may just give you the missing WAGS as a courtesy credit).

They zero out the estimated walgreens bonus cash once you use walgreens cash to pay. this wasn't the case before

Wow, if you no longer earn walbucks when you use walbucks for quantity deals (such as buy 2, get $X walbucks), that's a major devaluation of the program. Basically useless now.
