Opposite. When it is dry outside, you want something permeable like poly that will allow you to dry off without getting wet. When it is humid outside like in the south, you want something that absorbs the sweat since the ambient air is at capacity and you won't dry.

That is why humidity sucks in hot weather.

Not a fan of full poly. Any suggestions on shirts similar to UA's Charged Cotton circa 2013?

Poly is perfect for any activity that makes you sweat in summer in the South. That's not all but where it is most beneficial, even essential.

These are my go to for working out. Nice fit, soft and durable. Dumped all my full poly once I found these.

Yeah, the ones you linked are ok but the 2013 version the above poster asked about are the GOAT. I don't know why they changed them. They were perfectly cotton-y and stretchy at the same time and a tad thicker than current version. The fit was also awesome. A bit tighter around arms and shoulders but roomy in the belly. I still have 3 of them holding strong....cant track any more down.

Not a good product. I bought previously and they are thinner material and the logos have begun to peal after only 6 months.
Ones I have purchased from Kohls and other b&m stores have held up for several years.

You are better off buying an off brand from Walmart.

Truth. I still have some in the package that I value like gold.
Best tshirts ever made.

This is athletic-wear, so tech polyester is ideal. What fabric were your expecting?

Yuck. Cotton is the absolute worst material for athletic clothing.

The L tall was also $13, so I picked one up for my husband. Any time I can protect the gym goers from his plumber butt is good. Thanks, OP.

Hesitant to buy from Amazon. I feel like a couple of the UA items I bought from Amazon were of lower quality. Given the fact that I have IDme available directly in UA store I try to just order from there at this point.
