It is stamped. I will pass. In my experience, their stamped knives are really only commanding that price for the name. You can get similar quality stamped knives at this price normally.

This company doesn't allow honest reviews of their products. The quality is sub par and doing anything other than praising them on their reviews will get blocked. Never buy from these people. Terrible company, terrible customer service. Never again

It's not about "Indian" steel. It's that most consumer product companies make their cheaper and inferior product lines in China, India or other low cost countries while keeping the higher end products in "fancy" countries. The result is what they asked for, cheaper and lower quality products. It has nothing to do with the capability of India or China.

Apple is the primary exception to the rule with their highest end products made in China. Which shows it's not about the country manufacturing but the choice the consumer brand makes.

This is the comparable item from manufacturer. Up to you if you believe the branding, but this one being made in Germany could mean better quality than being made in India...

I have this knife. Handle is quite small, especially compared to the four-star line. The missus loves it, but it's too small for me.

I just got into cooking. What special benefit does a prep knife compared to a chef's knife or a santoku?

Can you tell more? Did you have any of their knives? What was the problem with the knife?

None, really. This falls between a chef's knife/santoku and a paring knife, so it's kind of a jack of all trades, master of none situation. If you're just starting out get yourself a quality chef or santoku knife and one of those $8 Victorinox paring knives that everybody swears by and you'll be good to go. You can pick up any other knives you might need as you go.

I have a knife with a similar size/shape blade from Victorinox. It's a little too small for most work for me. My 4'10" wife loves it though, but the Victorinox has a much bigger handle. This one looks like it would be too small to be comfortable, even with small hands.

I ordered a set of them. Right on the box it said dish washer safe.. so before using them I ran them through the light cycle as it indicated on the box it was safe.. well next morning I look at them several of them now have rust (I never even used the darn things) they sent a flyer in the box to register and leave a review.. I left and honest review of what occurred and they "moderated" it that it didn't meet their guidelines.. I wasn't even asking for my money back or new ones anything.. just leaving honest feedback that if they're not dish washer safe then that should be removed from the packaging.. the fact the company would do such a thing and not try to make it right is just shocking to me as I paid decent money for them. Next time I'll will be going with a different brand. Best of luck to you if you decide to go with them. Cheers

I have 2 of these. Got one at Tuesday Morning (discount store), the second one from the company on sale. The second one has a thinner blade. I love this knife. It's a great do anything knife. Unless I'm doing full meal prep, this is the knife I grab. Big enough for most jobs, but small and nimble too. Cut an apple, or a couple taters. I think it's a good all rounder.
