Lol. Movies only transfer in 4K if they are purchased in 4K. iTunes/Apple TV will upgrade HD movies for free, but only if you bought them from iTunes/Apple TV. So, now if you want the 4K ones the next time you see them on sale, you've just added $8 to that price. Buying these in HD is only worth it if you don't care about ever getting them in 4K.
