Razer audio products are all well known for being really crap sounding~ Razer even invited Crinacle [youtube.com] to visit their Headquarters where he measured all their headphone responses and made a video on it. He basically just said they all suck and its pretty obv based on the data. Razer even allowed him to publish the video, so even Razer knows their audio products sound bad lol. The irony is that Razer owns THX, and they dont even make full use of their engineers there and instead opt for the THX marketing department to slap a sticker on their products instead~ So imo Hardpass...

before you think you need one for PS4/5 or XBOX.. just know any wired headphone would work when plug into the game controller, and it would probably be better.

Just my unsolicited 2 cents here, but if you work in an office and use your headphones most the day I would save up for some Bose QC35 when they go on sale for $200. The most underrated feature of the Bose is the 2 device pairing. I can connect them to my laptop and my phone and switch back and forth easily. I have a chill job so I can have youtube up on my 3rd screen while I work so this might not be the case for you.
Steelseries does that as well my Artic X i think I have 2 different ones in that category also my Astro A30s which I use a lot do it but they run 230 but man they are versatile I've geared towards what you said in having (2) device pairing now I wonder what life was like before this & it's cold & dark lol Bose is an awesome brand my office was next to one in South Jersey I would sit in there & just jam to those home speakers

Razer is a shell of their former self. Awful products masquerading all kinds of issues with shinny LEDs. Poorly designed and built. Destined to be sent to the electronics recycling center within a year or two. Used to be a fan of theirs a decade ago and owned their old and new products. First gaming mouse of theirs I bought lasted me almost 8 years. New mouse less than a year. Support/warranty is a joke. Avoid at all costs.

I generally concur with this, although the ANC game has a lot of new players so you're not just limited to Bose like back in the day (though they're still a solid option to be sure). I like noise cancelling cans so I can crank up the fans on my rig XD

I heard Steelseries is good, but their support sucks. I have a Corsair headset now and want to upgrade.

Also, Bose QC35 are super comfortable (wear all day) & great noise cancellation

Technically Audeze and Sennheiser, Ironically a few of the really crappy and old Logitech headsets sound better than all of their new stuff. Another irony is that Logitech bought out UE who has a whole team of audio engineers that know their stuff but they dont tap into their engineering resources either. Most gaming headsets for some reason are hugely bass boosted for no supported reasoning, other than mainstream marketing probably. Audeze started getting into the Gaming space in recent years and their products arent bad at all but you have to spend some serious cash on most of their headsets. Sennheiser knows their stuff granted you can find their headphones in just about every studio in the world, and with their pedigree of engineers they can produce basically anything that they want if the market demands for it. That being said the Drop X Sennheiser/EPOS PC37X is the best gaming headphone you can probably get, its basically an HD6xx/650/660 with a mic strapped to it~ Usually it's on sale for under $100, and it has a more livelier sounding version the PC38X which goes on sale for like $140 both far outperform just about every headset on the market. Yeah they're ugly and don't have RGB like every other gamer brand out there, but that's just German people designing things, getting straight to the point is what Sennheiser as a company has always been about~

The real reason why anyone should buy a gaming headset is for 1 reason only: The inbuilt mic. Otherwise if you can afford a desk mic and game at the desk instead of a couch then just get good headphones like Hifiman Sundara's or Audio Technica R70X. Headphones that Image well are lightyears away from almost all gaming headphones.

Does anyone know how to make this headset stay awake? I am trying to use this in the office which is mainly for Microsoft Teams meetings that happen throughout the day. I have them connected via Bluetooth to my laptop but after some time the headset will go to sleep.
I am unable to get them turned back on and connected fast enough to answer a call.

To be fair Crinacle is self proclaimed audiophile and is generally critical of the vast majority of gaming headphones overall. His recommendation for a gaming headset for under $100 is the Phillips SHP9500 (which he otherwise detests for non gaming usage lol). A headset that would require a separate mic purchase (taking you over $100 in cost).

His considerations (harmon curve comparisons, soundstage as compared to open back headphones, etc.) while generally worth considering....are not important to the vast majority of people in the market for $65 headphones.

One would be wise to do further looking into other resources to better form an opinion. Websites: like Rtings.com, Soundguy.com...Youtubers: like GadgetryTech, Techne, etc.

Wow. What are the odds. I bought from Best Buy and playing ghost on ps5 here. They sound amazing. Mic is below average. But audio is excellent.
