is there any difference between the a3d12 and a3d13?
i cant say for sure but,
the a3d12 look the best I've had wool socks last 3 years, and some that look like the grey white cheaper ones here for 2$ less only last 1 year.

Interesting.. I've also realized over the years that any heather gray material tends to shrink more and not last as long
Wonder if they shrink after wash? Hate to get the small/medium and it not fit after washing :-/
I have some that have shrunk after I dried them. If you hang them over shower rod or something they dry pretty fast and won't shrink. They still fit when they shrink, they just fit a little snug.

These are my favorite, you will hear people say that these socks are terrible, and that they fall apart, but these are also people that are going on 30 mile backpacking hikes, and getting angry that it didn't survive.
Temper your expectations, these are very comfortable, just regular socks, and like any sock they do wear out after a couple of years
My darn tough socks haven't worn out after a couple years 🤔 !?!?! But I understand your sentiment. Sounds like a decent sock for random days at a great price

I'm gonna let y'all finish but I once had my luggage delayed in Aguas Caliente and had to go to the local market to pick up a warm pair of wool socks and wore it every day hiking. It's still the warmest pair of socks I have today 10yrs later. It has no label whatsoever.

The Costco 4-pack for $14.99 are pretty decent and handle the washer and drier easily but they are only 60% wool which is both a positive and a minus depending on how you look at it. These are cheaper and 80% wool. Worth a shot!
