Why would anyone buy a non-smart tv these days? Seems at this point it's the bare minimum.

That's not really the issue as these days, everyone has SOMETHING that can stream major streaming services and most TVs suck at being "smart". The issue here is the 720p resolution. I also recall this or a smart version of it was cheaper in Dec from BB. This is worth maybe $50-60 at best.

20 years ago we gathered around playing Halo on a 27 inch boob tube and it was glorious. I've been trying to recreate that feeling but no 4K OLED Smart TV has been able to bring that joy back. Regardless, some people prefer to keep their watching habits a secret from China.

You have one? If so can you comment on why it's bad? For $88 open box excellent, seems like a good deal for putting in a garage or small van conversion.

Because the Apple TV interface and performance is superior to practically every built in TV interface.

I would prefer a basic tv. I defiantly prefer to add my choice of smart eco systems. The Samsung eco system sucks. Roku sucks as well. GCC are getting a upgrade soon, but if your tv was a last year model, you would be looking to upgrade anyway. I prefer the Cube, but others love the Apple tv and Shields and those are not available in a built in the tv set option anyway.

Yea it is less mess to have it all in one, and for some that is the only way can figure out how to operate a hdmi selector button, so I understand if you are in those situations.

Smart TV interfaces and software aren't great. If you're smart you'll know that a good dumb TV paired with a smart TV device makes for a smarter TV.

I wish no TV's came with Smart services. I think we would be way better off if that was the case, and then buying an xbox, roku or fire stick instead. Alot of times those smart tv's get bogged down and slow down overtime. It would certainly increase the lifespans of TV's if they had no smart central

I appreciate the smart tv vs bring your own device comments, but to the point of this deal, is $95 for a store brand 720p tv a good deal? Has inflation gone up that much for this to be slick? (I havent looked at the bottom of the tv market for several years, so this is an honest question, not trolling).
