Is anyone able to get finance that many iPhones with XM nowadays? When I add a new line and device to my cart im limited to 8 lines and 3 device payment plans under $2500 with their new updates last Sept
Don't know about getting 10 phones; but at one time last year I had a total of 5 phones (3 "free" after bill credits, 2 with discounts through bill credits) with a total of 10 lines on By-The-Gig at $15 sharing 1 GB.
For about 3 years (I joined XM back in 2017) I couldn't get above 5 lines. At one point when they had a tied Internet / mobile promo - I got a supervisor on the Internet side who pushed the 6th line; once that got done, getting 4 more was no issue.
I haven't checked recently so the new updates you mention may impact me going forward.
I don't know why most SDer can't grasp the incredible potential when it comes to arbitraging these xfinity offers but whatever, probably a good thing. We switcched a couple months ago and no regrets. 4 lines on a shared 3 GB plan. We are not heavy data users so it only costs $30 per month all in, plus $12 tax. My wife got $500 off a pixel 7 pro, my MIL and I already had compatible phones so each got $200 gift cards for switching. I had a spare phone number to port so I got another $200 gift card for that, and I hope to use the SIM in my GPS tracker. On the by the gig plans you only pay tax for each additional line (up to 10 lines), so for a $200 gift card you just need to buy a number to port in and pay $3 tax for a few months. I'm offering friends and family (sorry, not SDers) who are not heavy data users the option to piggyback on my plan if they want. They can get a free iphone mini and only pay tax on the phone, plus $3 / month tax for service for 24 months, plus pro-rata cost of bumping up to 10 GB plan if necessary. Or they can BYOD and get a $200 gift card. Unlimited calls/text for $3/month per line. Where else can you get that? Also the by the gig plans are not deprioritized, so when you use data you're front of the bus on the verizon network. No, this is not for those who enjoy watching movies and videos on the network. But if you are creative with data usage you can get phones and phone service for a song.

It really is an amazing bargain. I'm at 10 lines now. I think I signed up for Xfinity 4 years ago and my family has been awesome at using mostly WiFi data and keeping the cellular data under 1GB most months and sometimes into 2GB. That's only $30/mo plus the taxes.
Over that time, I've spent very little on phones and gotten:
12 mini - 2 free
SE - 4 free
BYOD brought in $550 gift cards for the other 4 lines.
That's about $3550 in devices (from MSRP).
Over the 4 years, I've paid under $1500 for service. Of course this is subsidized by the home internet cost but I would have to pay that anyway.

You have been warned. Their customer service is way below average. It took me 4 weeks to cancel service and return equipment. The warehouse who took in my phone claimed the phone was damaged and charged me $350 without proof. I ended up having to file a claim with the FCC to get things resolved. Not worth it.

Can I port in a GV number and then use a the phone with another xfinity number that is on the same account?

Yes, you can. On the mobile app, it will show the sim is in incorrect phone but will still work without an issue.
I just don't know if and how this may impact the monthly credits.
IIRC after 60 days - you can talk to CS and have them swap sims for you. I swapped the numbers on one of the free iPhone SE and the Pixel 6A to keep the bill credits while porting a number out.
iphone cam is always its biggest weakness they dont have the google cam tech. well no on does but apple is also super lazy in putting in additional features which other companies do put in like periscope zoom and many other things.
evn the ip14pro camera is total waste of time
The iphone camera is it's biggest weakness . Get real. Try Using ANY Motorola phone.

Motorola phones cost 100-200 it's not marketed as a premium phone.
Google is #1 but surely the bigger Chinese companies might overtake it in the next few years. They have been super aggressive. But don't the tech
btw the pixel 6a which uses 5 yr sensor which is the Google answer to the ip SE has better camera then ip14pro blind test. but they didn't mention the zoom is still better since that phone doesn't have a tele lens

Ok. Mike says iphones cameras are bad, everybody else including Dxomark consistently say they are very good to great. Guess we'll listen to Mike.

most reviews r fake and paid for $$$ but both the 7pro and the ip14pro have been out for several months now and i have done enuff side by side comparisons to have a very deep insight into the cameras but if u had asked me in oct/nov my mind wasnt made up entirely but i knew pixel6pro was ahead of 14pro. i am not to troll anyone but if u r in nyc i can show u the difference in person and we can do side by side comparisons. or for indoor pics u can go to lebain rooftop which has the best lighting in nyc and i can send u pics since indoor setup never really changes.
I have nothing to hide i want the truth to come out and i can waste to time proving it to u in person.
i wish i could add my pics on this thread

Thanks! Added a new line (ported a google voice number for $3 to unlock) and may switch with an existing line with a paid off phone (if my mom agrees, she doesn't like new things and her iphone 6 is just fine even though the battery keeps dying!) Otherwise will use to manage various apple devices (my phone is android) and facetime, and imessage on a plane.
FYI, an add'l line if you're already using xfinity mobile with shared data is only $5/month in taxes.
Oh, and check your Xfinity Rewards! I had one for $150 visa prepaid card with a new phone, so bonus!
When you transfer from GV to XM, what did you place as your SSN last 4, name, address ? Google doesn't have any of that info about me (well, not officially from me at least).

but it has so many modes and features which i am also jealous of. like the ability to shoot video and still pics at the same time.
but if the quality isnt the best whats the point. right
