No RTSP support on these cameras

So from what I found out from their live stream is it is a "V4" in a way but with simple connections/housing so it's not a true V4 but it's also not a V3. It doesn't come with magnetic base and the base is more limited in range of motion. So from an internal hardware base it's better than V3 but packaging is less than a V3. I guess In a way like an iPhone SE or maybe even an iPad mini??? where its newer hardware but in older housing.
Two cameras = two SD cards
But once the stacking kit comes it's one power cable.
They wanted to go back to being a "low priced camera company". they mentioned there are going to be a lot of different cameras coming out in the future like wide angle, super wide angle, 5x, 7x zoom cameras and other options to add onto this "OG" ecosystem.
The V3 is compatible with other items like spot light, garage door, and other items where as the OG ecosystem won't be.
It will be two series: a higher end series and a lower end series and each will be compatible with their own system. So instead of buying multiple high end cameras for simple areas you can buy cheaper cameras that do one specific job for that one location. like instead of buying two OG cameras and stack them for a wider view, you would just put a V3 pan in that location. and instead of putting a V3 or V3 pan to see down the side of the house you would just put in an OG or OG telephoto to see the entrance gate down the side of the house.
I guess that would be the best way to put it. Each OG camera will do one specific job with a processor and sensor that is better than the V3 so it's not a V3 replacement. Hope this helps
I bought the wyze came deal from home Depot which comes with 3 month cam plus. When I set them it said "activate your 3 month wyze cam plus membership" I was like "nope"
How did you say no. There was no "not now" box or any X ?
I have a 2nd camera from HD to activate , but would like to skip the cam plus for now.
I'm wondering if I could just get the telephoto and stack it with a regular V3 that I already have the spotlight accessory for... I mean that's essentially the samething as the OG, but with a better/brighter light. Also the way I see it, you can either dual SD card both and Cam Plus the OG regular, or only SD the telephoto and Cam Plus the regular since you don't need a sub for both when stacked, just scroll to the same timeline in playback on the telephoto with SD card if something happens on the regular with the Plus sub.
So without cam plus lite what are you left with if you don't opt into cam plus? Can you live view? Are there any notifications? Can you view the SD card without removing? Just wondering.
Put the camera on continous record, it will notify you of events BUT you can't see the event.
What you do is look at the time of the event, then look at the playback for the camera at that time. It's a bit awkward, but it works.
I don't know why they did this instead of giving us optical zoom for around $40-$50. This is 2 cameras, so you have to have 2 SD cards? I really expected something cooler like their new pan cam, this looks like they took old V2 cam and made slight changes and added built in light.
Also with 2 cams, you need to run 2 lines or do they at least daisychain like V2 cams? If not, that's another disappointment.
It does seem awkward, and no choice of 3x or 5x telescope. I was thinking they were going to go with 4K , then you could just zoom up the image to see things farther away.

Just press the back button or use back gesture on your phone, then it would just finish the setup and doesn't ask for activating cam plus trial any more.

.... all my wyze v2 and v3 can be put in continious recording. The secret is to put microSD card in camera, and set it up for Continous record.
Then watch footage in TIMELINE mode, to see what happens.
Throw a micro-SD card in there and you're good to go with no monthly fee. That is if the camera isn't stolen by the perp you're recording.
I have a bunch of wyze cameras v1, v2, pan. The SD card recording stops working over time for all of the 7 camera's. Wyze doesn't support them. Customer service never could resolve the issue. I would avoid wyze

trojan horse to get everyone on their wyze cam plus unlimited subscription
No crap, just like half the other companies out there. Echo tries to upsell me anytime I try to play music. Doesn't mean that there aren't positive things I can still get without added cost. Same with wyze... If you do a little research / testing they can be very useful without subscription.
I will agree that some of how wyze UI works for their upsells is frickin annoying though! Even how their mobile site with this cam advert is made. It makes you think you get 2 cams for $19.99 until you hit the add button. I wish they would leave the dark marketing practices aside. Because what they do provide is good value, they just piss people off.

Edit - Poster below found these new cameras are not eligible for the Cam Plus Lite sub.
