No RTSP support on these cameras

So from what I found out from their live stream is it is a "V4" in a way but with simple connections/housing so it's not a true V4 but it's also not a V3. It doesn't come with magnetic base and the base is more limited in range of motion. So from an internal hardware base it's better than V3 but packaging is less than a V3. I guess In a way like an iPhone SE or maybe even an iPad mini??? where its newer hardware but in older housing.
Two cameras = two SD cards
But once the stacking kit comes it's one power cable.
They wanted to go back to being a "low priced camera company". they mentioned there are going to be a lot of different cameras coming out in the future like wide angle, super wide angle, 5x, 7x zoom cameras and other options to add onto this "OG" ecosystem.
The V3 is compatible with other items like spot light, garage door, and other items where as the OG ecosystem won't be.
It will be two series: a higher end series and a lower end series and each will be compatible with their own system. So instead of buying multiple high end cameras for simple areas you can buy cheaper cameras that do one specific job for that one location. like instead of buying two OG cameras and stack them for a wider view, you would just put a V3 pan in that location. and instead of putting a V3 or V3 pan to see down the side of the house you would just put in an OG or OG telephoto to see the entrance gate down the side of the house.
I guess that would be the best way to put it. Each OG camera will do one specific job with a processor and sensor that is better than the V3 so it's not a V3 replacement. Hope this helps
I own the Wyze original version and V3.
It has many cons and few pros.
Nowadays it becomes worse and worse when they try to grab more money from subscription service
Look on their forum for "Multiple Users' Permissions for Shared Users" https://forums.wyze.com/t/multipl...s/6671/819
The CamPlus is all but unusable for more than one person. We have been asking for multiple user and RBAC for 4 years to no effect, they have actually made the software worse, with fewer features.
Wyze is also releasing a new line of cameras that are not compatible with any of the previous software or hardware versions (systems will not interoperate) under the Roku brand. The thread I posted details all the bugs and lack of features for multiple users. Caveat emptor.
Is it able to auto delete data from the card when full? If so, how many days are you able to capture on the SD card?
yes it overwrites the SD Card when full automatically. how many days depends on recording quality and SD card.
I have a 64 GB in one of them and I have from now. Jan 19 10:30 pm eastern back to Jan 14 around 3 PM eastern. so about 5 days with a 64 GB. if you get a bigger SD card youll get more storage and therefore more time
Seems worth a try if truly better notification/streaming response time and speaker (the reasons I ditched them for Eufy- but Eufy keeps eating my SD cards)
Don't forget they have a LED light built in for motion detection- I like that option. Lets people know they are on cam.

My 32 GB cards read as 58 GB in the Wyze system for some reason and seem to go about 5 days too. No idea how that works.
banks get robbed because they're high profile targets.
I didn't say Cameras prevent crime. They deter it.
This dude is living in the 80s, you barely see banks get robbed these days either and why would they, people can do a ton of stuff online to steal. My cameras are pretty visible and I even have one of those nice Ring illuminated signs, a few weeks ago I was inside and some kid was going door to door selling stuff, went to all the neighbors, then was at the bottom of my driveway for a second and then walked to the next house. Even if it keeps people like that away it's worth it. Also have a neighbor that thinks it's okay to walk across my yard to go out to the ponds as a shortcut, hasn't done that since I put one of my cameras pointing alongside the house where our yards meet. I have 7 cameras outside plus one in the garage facing outwards when the doors are open

Can someone clarify what can these do without a subscription? There's some contradictory info here.
They record to an SD card that you insert into the camera. You can then access the content it records onto that SD Card by using the app on the phone. You can view playback, rewind, pause, fast forward, take a picture, record clips or choose a prior day and drag and drop a sliding bar to watch recorded content. You can also turn on motion triggered alerts/notifications, sound alerts, and smoke/co alerts. NOTE: you are accessing your own recorded content and not cloud recordings.
The subscription plan enables cloud storage recordings on Wyze's servers, enables smart detection, package detection, vehicle detection and a few other features.
If you do not want to pay for anything then you will just have to review your own recorded content and be ok with regular motion/sound alerts.
Wyze lite doesn't work on this. Unless you pay for monthly cam plus, it only does live streaming. Not useful without person detection.
You still get motion alerts and sound alerts without paying anything. But the camera won't be able to tell the difference between motion (such as a tree blowing in the wind) and a person walking into frame. So if you put this camera up in an area that normally has no motion at all then you will still get alerts when there is motion in that area.
If you own v2 or v3, and tell us of YOUR experience, please post you are talking about v2 and v3 that you own , in your comment, ... as to not givie false info to guys buying these NEW models.
I do NOT own OG model, I did post youtube video yesterday in this thread ...of person that owns the OG model, and the whole video was on new restrictions on this model dealing with wyze subscriptions compared to older versions that had wyze LITE option.
You can create a group and assign the cameras to that group. Once you click into the group on wyze app, it shows live view for all the cameras
Can you explain this a little bit more.
Tell us are you doing this on subsciption mode (cam plus) or in cam LITE subscription mode?
I do have Tiny Cam PRO that works in android, and I can put many cams on one page, currently I'm using 4 cameras with motion alarm mode, and tons of features, and I got Tiny Cam PRO on sale a few years ago for 99 cents.
I use BLUESTACKS 5 on my windows 11 desktop/laptop and can watch everything and install Tiny Cam PRO and wyze app in bluestacks.
Another option on windows 11 is install Android subsystem to load Tiny Cam Pro , also you could install Linux subsystem ... for doing all this watch youtube videos on how to set it up.
I am just giving POINTERS, but if you do any of this, YOU WILL NEED youtube video that shows step by step.

... thanks for the quick reply and link. I got it to work, I'm using LITE subscription. It is lined up in single mode, meaning my 4 cams are vertical mode. Can you get it in grid mode ... where it has 2 camera's on one row, and next 2 camera's in next row.

* Are either Wyze Cam OG or Wyze Cam OG Telephoto Cam Plus Lite compatible?
* No, neither camera is compatible with Cam Plus Lite.

Edit - Poster below found these new cameras are not eligible for the Cam Plus Lite sub.
