I played about an hour on gamepass. It's a standard isometric zelda + dark souls type game. similar vibe as tunic. I did not keep playing either game, but if the zelda darksouls style sounds interesting to you, might be worth picking this up
I would say so. I played it handheld only, in between tasks and never felt lost when I stepped away from it. Highly recommend it. Some bosses were a bit difficult for me but nothing that was frustrating.
Solid game but a little basic and on the short side so $40 seems like a lot when you can get it for $10 digitally. The art style and soundtrack were probably the highlights for me.

Is metroidvania game play... If you like that, then yes. Though some parts do take a while to get through, there are save points around the world.
Edit: liked the game so much (Gamepass) that i pre-order a copy for Switch (Xbox wasn't available)
