Oh, man. This is such a bargain, but would you buy a refurbished switch? My experience with these is that they don't last that long, but at least TP-Link will replace them under warranty if a new one fails prematurely.
This switch was exactly what I was looking for, a nice dumb unmanaged switch to help my LAN devices talk to each other while maintaining one direct connection to the router.
I actually tried the SG1008 8-port version of this from Amazon for $20, but my inter-lan throughput and internet speeds both dropped by 10% vs. directly connecting my devices to my router for some reason.
This one does much better, not sure if the ASIC is slightly more robust or what, but network reads and internet speed test fare better, almost as good as directly connecting to my flashed RT68U

Interestingly, TP-Link (the reseller) only gave out 90-day warranties with the device, but eBay itself threw on another 2 years after my purchase.
Didn't heavily advertise it in the sale page but it was a welcome email about 1 day after my purchase.
