This is the lowest model that tops out at 520MB/s read speeds. I think the price is accurate.

The 1TB model that tops out at 1000+ MB/s is usually $100+

Which ssd and enclosure do you recommend? I have heard these enclosures/cables go bad pretty soon.

Ibused the sabret one listed on amazon for close to 29 dollars. But they sell it used or refurbished sent by sabret direct for around 12 dollars. It comes brand new. I actually ordered 1 and they sent me a second one a week later too. It's fairly sturdy and works with all ssd and nvme ssd m.2 sizes. And you get 1000mbps.

But i am sure this enclosure listed here is much sturdier and more durable if you get rough with it.
I also bought a 2tb gen4 nv2 kingston for 110 (you dont need gen 4 since capped by 1000mbps, and that kingston one is still gen 3. But i wanted to be compatible with PS5 and other devices that get Gen4. Its DRAMless and qlc, not good if you transfer large files(pay more for TLC with DRAM), but still cheap and good for my purposes for gaming and storage) froklm amazon coupled with amex promo came out to 87 including tax. So about 100 dollars you have a 2tb external ssd that can also be used inside a ps5 or pc too as needed.
The sabret one also doesn't overheat or anything with my experience, cimes with a heat pad on the lid that closes and contacts the top of the drive.

The price for the sabrent has gone up to 19.99 for the used like new by sbt.

110 sold by amazon for 2tb, 53 for 1tb. There are better options if you don't need gen 4 like for ps5 compatibility or just want another drive

At this price I assume this isn't a solid state drive?
