I've noticed the carbonation (fizziness) in this is much stronger than on a Sodastream.

I want something like this that I can connect a bigger CO2 tank to. I have a DIY carbonator but it's not as convenient as one of these. Not interested in over-paying for Sodastream cartridges.

Drinkmate and aarke allows for connnecting large tank. I have them with tank going through wall to my basement.

You can make Sodastream as fizzy as you want. I ALWAYS overcarbonate everything.

You can connect a hose to a Sodastream as well, there are many options on the internet. Got mine from eBay and am using a 20lb tank that costs me about as much as 1.5 little cylinders to fill.

i love my soda sensei made by drinkmate. paid $30 for it new on ebay. then came the half price co2 tanks at staples from soda stream. it was perfect timing. so far i've fizzed whiskey, burboun, a plethora of wines, tropicana juice, ocean spray, gatorade, and hint flavored water. what a beast of a machine. once i am done with all these co2 tanks, i'll upgrade to a 10 pound tank. i might just get the adapter to refill the little canisters. i dont like fiddling with the valve on the big tank every time i need to fizz something up.

you can hold down the pump for 1 second, or longer. or you can pump multiple times. there's no metric on it. you can hear the machine release excess gas if you over pump.

This is the entry Aarke model, one thing to note is that, compared to some higher end Sodastream models, and the upgraded "pro" Aarke model, you need to screw in the bottle on this one, as opposed to just locking it in through a tilting clamp mechanism (like in, say, the Kitchenaid-branded Sodastream option).

We didn't want to downgrade functionality to go fancy, so we went with the Pro.
