I could certainly believe that. But do the tags need to be sent in when making a warranty claim years down the road? If so, I wonder how many people keep the tags.

North Face does not limit their warranty this way, which tells me these are knock-offs that will be rejected by North Face for warranty claims.

Scammers ass tags to fakes as well. That is not a good gauge these days.
