1) WiFi 6E (I think this is the first Apple product with this latest standard).
2) BT 5.3
3) HDMI 2.1 and support for 8K monitors @ 60Hz or 4K at 240Hz (M1 is HDMI 2.0 and can "only" support 6K and can't support 4K at 240Hz).
This makes the M2 model a lot more "future proof" than the M1 model (which I own). Sure, if you can get a "steep" discount on an M1 it might be worth it but it would have to be mighty steep IMHO. The M2 just launched. Once it starts shipping at end of month it will start getting discounts for $100-200 off. So I think the M1 is going to become the red-headed stepchild because it won't have the features content creators (the main buyer of MBPs) want going forward.
