Flower and vegetable seeds are back! Four for one dollar. I've used these for many years (used to be five for a dollar) with good results. They are heirloom varieties rather than the newer, patented hybrid types, which is why they can be sold cheaply.
If you're close to a Menards they have Valley Greene seeds 10 packs for $1 this week. If I remember correctly they're mostly heirloom.
Dollar trees in the 10miles radius are all closed. I thought they are bankrupt or something.
Also, you can visit your local library and most probably they keep seeds donated from other folks. I have been donating and taking the ones I need for years.

I'm glad to see this. Their vegetable seeds get wiped out pretty quickly in my area, and I assist in wiping them out. If they've got them, I will buy hands full of every variety. Usually, by the summer they quit stocking them. The closest store to me hasn't had any seeds since last summer, but I'll be checking to see if they have any tomorrow. I'm not a huge fan of heirloom tomatoes because we have lots of nematodes and other tomato maladies down here on the wet Gulf Coast, but if you put them in containers with potting mix, they can do well.
