I bought a 1TB lifetime account from IceDrive for $149 a year or two ago and have had no problems. Encryption is included.

I also have a 2TB lifetime account with pCloud purchased a few years ago on sale. There are a few comments on Reddit that complained their pCloud account was closed w/o explanation. I don't think that you should have to pay extra for encryption for pCloud.

I don't trust "lifetime" offers..
It kills any incentive for the company to keep you around

These type of comments are the reason why I didn't buy it 5 years ago.

They appear to still be around today, and who knows if a monthly plan storage company will survive this quarter.

I'm currently using Google Drive, and their yearly plan isn't bad... But do I switch... Hmm

I use gsuite, it's like 12$ a month and doesn't "count" storage. Says unlimited, I'm using like 3tb

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the lifetime plan used to mean unlimited storage?

Update:
According to an old SD post, I'm wrong
Two Lifetime Deals:

500GB Lifetime=$59.99

2TB Lifetime=$249.98


But who in the hell's paying $1200 for 10TB

I bought into something like this in the past. I can't recall the name... but the went under, and I had to download all my *ish. It really sucked.
