Honestly just buy a 12100 or Ryzen 5600g for that need.

$250 for a 13600k is what I'm looking for as a regular price.

Hopefully this will trigger another round of price drops for the 13700 and the 13900.

This price seems to be about 20 to $30 lower than everybody else as of right now until the price matching kicks in

Ummm.. which one would you choose for a sff built as a every day home PC (no gaming). The i5 13600 or Ryzen 7600? I don't want to use a dedicated GPU since I do not game. Intel has a better iGPU than AMD when comparing between these two CPUs? I will not be doing any OC and prefer something efficient and low TDP due to the small m itx case.

Will they last me another 10 years? My current desktop is over a decade old and still running but slow 🤣

What are you doing with it? Web browsing and office software? Then probably.

For someone that wants to keep the same machine for that long, I think the socket support duration plays a bigger role. 7600 now and in a few years you can drop in the 2025 am5 equivalent of the 7600? I also think that lower TDP in a SFF case may keep you at higher clocks more often, although that would depend on your cooling. Am5 MBs are still pretty expensive though so it's hard to say. I personally am waiting for the 7800x3d before I decide Intel vs Amd (but I game, so pretty irrelevant for your use case).

Neither of these CPU's have an igpu.... The 7600 kind of but not really, it's very weak and just for booting to desktop without a GPU. And the Intel one doesn't have one at all.

5600g is about your only good option right now.

Edit: your not asking about this CPU? The Intel 13600k is really overkill on the CPU side of things for you but a bit weak on the GPU side. The 5600g is weaker on the CPU but stronger on the GPU. Either would be fine for you. The 7600 isn't really an apu and doesn't have a real igpu.

They said they keep it for 10 years. Socket selection is irrelevant as there will be no need to upgrade cpus for their described task of web browsing and ms office.
