Got an email this morning from Capital One Shopping that they're doing a 30% cash back on Lenovo right now (screenshot of email attached). You can shop through the app or the browser extension. Not sure if it's a targeted offer or not but you can apply this to whatever, so I'm just supplying an example deal at this point.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...82rd000wus

So you could do something like this Lenovo 5 Gen 7 with 6600H and 3060 that is 1219.99, use code EXTRA5 for 5% off which brings it down to 1158.99, then get 30% cash back through the app (347.70) bringing the total down to 811.29.

I have noticed if i visit/browse a specific website either from their app or desktop browser with capital one extension installed, with in a day or 2 they send out this special cashback promotions.

This special promotion worked for dell refurbished, staples, BED BATH beyond, logitech and walmart with some exclusions

I used Capital One Shopping for the NordVPN 100% cashback deal. They approved and said I would be getting my cashback, then closed my account. Will not reply or state why. This happened to others as well. Just be careful.

You'll probably need to install the Capital One shopping extension on your browser, go to the Lenovo product page, and maybe a day later or so they'll send you an offer.

Logged into the Capitol One app and it's showing 4% cash back for Lenovo. Probably a targeted email.

I build my own PCs for home, work, friends, etc. I was checking out the site to see if any of the desktops were worth it over a self build at the 30% cashback rate.

I found this i5-11500 with a RTX 3060 and 16 GB of DDR4 listed for $999

Legion Tower 5i Gen 6 (Intel) with RTX 3060
Part Number: 90RS0022US

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/de...90rs0022us

$999 @ 30% CB = $699

I didn't include the EXTRA5 5% discount in this which would obviously bring it lower.

I then went to PCPartpicker and did a quick build on similar specs with the cheapest components listed. I didn't add an OS cuz those you get for far less online than the listed price at PCP

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sxBfLs

Base Total: $858.66
Shipping: $3.99
Total: $862.65

Maybe I messed up somewhere but this seems like a decent deal for $699 (and maybe less with EXTRA5). According to PCP the CPU, mobo, and 3060 alone would run over $600.

I think most of the thumbs down are because it's targeted. Otherwise I think there are definitely some pretty awesome deals that are in there. I wonder if there's any way to contact Capital One Shopping to get the deal added to your profile? No clue, people will have to try it themselves I guess.

I totally agree on the thumbs down point. Personally, I never quite understand why people thumb down a deal just because they don't qualify for it. If it is a "slickdeal" for the qualifiers, then thumb it up so more people see it. I remember when Frys was all the rage in here for their insane deals (MicroCenter is the new Frys kinda) and people would get PO'd and thumb it down cuz they didn't live near one. Being in the Northeast I could never get their deals, but they were great for those who could. Why throw shade on that? 30% CB at Lenovo is insanely good on the right product. I hope people get a nice deal.

I'm in Maine so I can 100% relate. Our nearest Microcenter is in Boston (well, Cambridge but potatoes potahtoes)

Capital One browser extension reads all your browser traffic. Are people aware of that? Anything to bypass that?

That's an option but then you don't get targeted offers based on your visits. I could understand if they read your domain but reading ALL traffic does not make sense.
