Osprey bags are generally well constructed and usually well designed, but in terms of material, this is just plain old polyester plastic. Your cheap bag is probably pretty similar.

Honestly, if you have a bag that fits you well, meets all your needs, and isn't falling apart, then you probably don't need a new one. Save that old bag from the landfill until the zippers fail or something breaks that can't be repaired.

This bag is a great day bag — I've the red one and would love another for my girlfriend.
But these sale colors… um? I don't think I'd give these to anyone.

I am curious about this too. It looks like there may be one extra pocket on the plus but maybe it's also a little bigger? The website doesn't really show or tell too much about them.

I just received the Arcane Roll Top I ordered couple weeks ago and it's fantastic. Just used it for the first time the other day and it feels so much more compact than my regular backpack. It's still on sale for $44.50 (https://www.osprey.com/us/en/prod...0_202.html)

I actually don't mind the colors… sort of a 90's throwback. Just need to find a Starter jacket to compliment the look.
