Added benefits of this method is that T-Mobile doesn't charge tax on payments with gift card balance.
It's a rolling 90 day window. After each payment the expiration is 90 days later. So if you keep the account active, i.e. pay, the balance won't ever expire.

Edited : can buy multiple cards totalling to $50 or above. You can buy in multiple transactions and get the $5 off each time. But I believe there is a limit to that too (can't remember though)

Purchase them one at a time with your target card otherwise they don’t give you the discount of 10% off per card.

Correct. Balance expiration is spelled out in the Terms and Conditions.

No, the card has no expiration date as long as you don't activate it. Once activated it's 90 days. I'm on AT+T prepaid $300 a year plan so I just wait one month before my renewal date to enter my codes.

I'm new to AT&T prepaid. I am on the yearly plan (along with other family members), and I started it late 2022, so my next payment is due end of 2023.

I have no problem staying on AT&T, so applying these through the year is not something I'm opposed to. I would love to collect these through the year for myself and family members to help the price.

Having said all this, what is the recommended way to buy and apply these?

Should I buy them and wait till my renewal date to apply? Should I just buy them and apply them to my account now? I would love to hear thoughts on this.

Thanks!

I am on a $30 monthly plan. When $50 gift cards go on sale, I buy several of them, keep them until my balance is about to expire, and then load them one by one. card doesn't expire if not loaded or activated. Not sure about yearly plan but this discount is useful if you buy $50 cards so you get $5 off + 5% with red card. so ~7.25 total discount. thanks

This sale comes every 6-8 weeks. So no need to buy now. Wait till you get close to your renewal date.

Is there a limit on these per person? Would like to keep a few for top ups at a discount. Since they don't expire. These 15% plus 5% if you have target Red also stacks?

I have purchased 4-5 before without any issues but some people complained about order getting cancelled after 1-2 purchases. i usually wait for one order to process and get the pin in email before making next. thanks

I buy 8 for T-Mobile and 8 for Cricket every six months when Targets have this deal. I pay for my family's wireless bills and never had a problem. It's been 3 plus years.

Also is there any risk of these prepaid cards being emptied like have heard Target sells Apple and other retailer GC that are often compromised or hacked and emptied before the genuine user buys.

Yeah I am talking about in person store purchases.

I've purchased maybe 50+- cricket cards from Target and have never had an issue with a single one.
