Purchased over Black Friday. Great performance per $, but the card is quite loud at full load even with an undervolt and tweaking the fan curve.

Solid card especially for the price. I paid $250 and can play most games on High settings without trouble.

The card seems very quiet. I'm not sure if I got lucky or if the other commenters have different standards.

Is this an adequate replacement for my failing 980ti? Maybe I should opt for the 6700xt that is on sale? I'm a little lost on what will be at least as good as the 980ti?

The 6650 xt is gtx1080 ti/rtx2070 class. It will be an okay bump from the 980ti. If you're looking for more of a leap than a hop, go for a 6700xt.

It's twice as fast..

https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...,4388.html

80 vs 36 FPS on Tom's 1080p Ultra benchmarks.

Either would be a nice boost. Here's a well known benchmarking site with relative performance lists: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-s...0-ti.c2724

Btw if you're looking for 1440p, I'd definitely get the 6700 XT or higher.

Paid $225 for a 6800 (non XT) on Ebay shipped from Asia. Most likely was used for mining, but no issues thus far. If you can find the deal I found on Ebay it is well worth it and blows the 6650xt out of water especially when it comes to 4k.

so mining speed about the same as rx580 5 years ago i paid 200-220 for....I aint mining but
come on AMD and NVIDIA.

at least give price to performance increases this means you made no progress for the past 10yrs.

Scroll down and you'll see relative performance. It'll be a solid bump up from your current card but I'd try to get the 6700xt.

Obligatory "You won't get the rebate".

Newegg needs to stop this bullshit, but people need to stop falling for it too.

How does this compare to GTX 1080 non Ti for $140?

I have been seeing it for that price on hardware swap, mostly want to play in 1440p. I am getting back into PC gaming.

After tax this would be double the price. I realize it has RSR which can be useful for newer games.

There's links to Tom's and TechPowerUp to give you answers.

Tom's has them at 40 and 57 fps at 1440p. So the 1080 isn't a bad deal. I just got a RX 5700 XT for $160, Dell OEM which isn't far off this card. So there are deals out there if you don't mind landing a lower tier manufacturer or ex-miner.
