This looks like a great deal and I almost jumped on it, but some of the reviews are giving me pause, in particular this one:

I think I might sit this one out. That being said, on its face it's a good deal, so thanks for posting, op!

I own the non-AI version with the auto empty bin. There are some things I like about it and some things I don't. The only other robot vacuum I have owned to compare it against is the Deebot T8+ AIVI.There are some things I prefer about the Deebot over the Samsung.

Things I like:
Seems to clean my all-hardwood/tile floor main floor well.

Auto empty dock is reliable and doesn't require me to unclog the vacuum canister as frequently as I had to with the Deebot.

Seems to get stuck less than Deebot.

Doesn't lose connection to its base like my Deebot did

Things I don't like:
Cleaning time: cleans slower than deebot. Probably because it only has one front rotating brush, but also because of limited customization by the subpar software (more on that later)

Battery life: Barely finishes cleaning my main floor and sometimes has to go back to recharge before finishing. This depends on how many obstacles it encounters that it had to spend time negotiating during that cleaning session. Bottom line is that the battery needs to be bigger, and its short run time is one of the main factors that would keep me from buying this if I had to do it over again.

Height clearance: The Jetbot is slightly taller than the Deebot and doesn't go under my bed. The AI version is even taller than the version I have, so you may want to take that into consideration.

Software: The software experience and cleaning options are inferior in quite a few ways to the Deebot. This is the second deal breaker for me. Samsung really needs to revamp their software for their robot vacuums if they are going to be competitive.

You have to control the Jetbot through the Samsung SmartThings app. It doesn't have its own dedicated app. This isnt problem on its own, but I mention it because it reflects the lack of attention that Samsung has paid to developing the software features for their robot vacuums (and if you read SmartThings reviews on the app store, this lack of attention and robustness applies to pretty much all devices that use it.) For example: if you want to schedule the Jetbot to clean only a specific room in the house on a specific day, you can't do that. You can only schedule the Jetbot to clean the entire map.

Click the New & Used option and make sure it's Shipped and Sold by Amazon. It'll have the $500 coupon with a $999 price by it.

This is a good deal at $500 tbh. I bought the jetbot + for $220 last deal. It's been excellent so far but gets stuck a few times. Still working with the map no-go zones. After market parts are hard to come by and expensive when you find them such as the bags

This thing is big so it will probably never fit under most furniture for most people wondering compared to the other robo vacs out there. The other issue I have with this there is no mopping of any kind but not everyone wants or needs that.

That being said a robo vac with 3d object avoidance and lidar at this price point is very good, and it comes with the self empty base. Need to check out vacuum wars for a review to see how good this robo vac really is though when it comes to cleaning but it might be worth the trigger pull for some.

Waiting for one of those dreametech l10s to get to this price point. For now still happy with my ihome nova.

Yeah the only issue with all of Samsung's bots is that parts (like bags) are hard to find and expensive

This looks like a great deal and I almost jumped on it, but some of the reviews are giving me pause, in particular this one:

***UPDATE***Unfortunately, I have to bump this all the way down to 1 star. Reason: After just over one year the BATTERY NO LONGER HOLDS A CHARGE. Conveniently, it's just out of warranty. I've contacted Samsung support. No service centers around (according to their map, none exist in the United States! at least, not for this robot vacuum). No replacement battery available. This extremely disappointing as this otherwise was a very reliable, albeit not quite as powerful as others, vacuum. $1,399.67 (with tax) down the drain. Unfortunately, will have to switch brands. Samsungs customer service has been VERY disappointing. And apparently, others have had the same experience.
I think I might sit this one out. That being said, on its face it's a good deal, so thanks for posting, op!

I wouldn't dream of owning anything made by Samsung that has moving parts. Things that have moving parts eventually break and require customer service, and if the brand is Samsung you'll want to kill yourself but hopefully you'll decide to throw the damn device away instead.

Never seen this price on Samsung direct. Once it was 469 but that was edu bundles with appliances. By itself lowest was 560 or so.

Either these sell better than i think, or Samsung didnt manufacture as many and in no rush. Amazon sure is and probably demanded Samsung offer a big deal.

Nevertheless, while tempting to play around with it, only sub 400 would make me bite. No robot vacuum had ever impressed me, even barely. Don't own one, don't want to unless vastly improves. Don't get how popular they've been still and they stink

Say that to my 70's year old mother who no longer has knee issues having to vacuum and clean a house every week. Say that to her bank account that hasn't had to hire a cleaning lady who you have to watch in case they steal something. Sure robot vacuums have a long way to go but at their current state they're a hell of a lot better than they used to be even a few years ago. LiDAR is a pretty new technology for robot vacuums and it works pretty well. Sure it takes adjustments to your house and not leaving things laying around on the floor… maybe some cords need to be zip tied off the floor etc. but again it's been a godsend for my parents at an affordable price. You would have to pay a cleaning service probably the amount it costs the robot vacuum every month
