It's a great deal actually, usually the two batteries with a free tool go for the $200 range. Only problem is I have most of these, and the only tool I need (the DCD805) is OOS

I've been looking for an excuse to add the sander, it the multi tool and either 3/8 or 1/2 impact sockets are worthy additions

I'm no master electrician, but they either put out 20v or they don't, no? Ah just means runtime at the specific Ampere, right? Seems like marketing to me.
No. Battery voltage varies as cells discharge and voltage drop varies by battery due to the cells (type and number) they contain. Although Ah is often referred to as "capacity" and does correlate with runtime, most tools will benefit somewhat from a greater number of cells when drawing heavily from the battery. You can see performance differences that correlate with this.
This is a pouch cell type battery that performs above standard batteries with the same capacity, and you can see this with less voltage drop under load. I do wonder about reliability and longevity of these, however, as they are still fairly new.
How OP not gonna mention the ah. Shame!

Probably because it wasn't specified on the website. PowerStack is new and greatly outperforms the 18650 or 21700 cell batteries at lower capacities anyway. This is due to the larger/wider anode tab that allows more current to flow from fewer cells without a large voltage drop… and since you get two you can have a spare on charge before you deplete the first one.

So double the current of similar sized battery just means half the runtime if total capacity is the same.
