Edit: Sorry, I guess you would still need to place 3 more orders, but even 4 orders of cans of tomato sauce will save you a few cents I believe.
That and you only get the sale price on items (assuming it was on sale like this deal) the first time you place the order. So there really is no point in remaining subscribed anyway.

The way you want to use Subscribe and Save is cancel every subscription after you receive them. You want to create at least 5 new subscriptions every month in order to qualify for the discount. Those old subs don't count toward the discount. Only subs for the current month.
