People respond to these differently and I read an article that most of these mg dosage is very inaccurate, depending on the brand. Most people should try to find what works for them. Starting from 0.5mg. The cut up gummies make the trial pretty easy.

I started magnesium glycine (I was taking it before but not enough and a crappy brand…stay away from BUFFERED nestednaturals; I recommend 409-600 mg magnesium a day, Doctors Best chelated magnesium glycinate) I take 1 with every meal (100mg) and two before bed. Rarely causes GI issues. It can take 4-12 weeks to reach optimal functioning with magnesium levels. BUT if you don't have enough magnesium (many people are deficient; hard to get from diet unless you are eating cups of pumpkin and chia seeds and spinach a day) you will NOT make enough melatonin, so this is the root cause for most people.
Also, once I looked up potassium rich foods the last week, in addition to the huge improvement the last 4 weeks with magnesium, and made a higher effort to reach RDI with potassium, my sleep reached excellent quality levels! And I have tried everything, everything, everything else the last 5 years.
Hope that helps you and perhaps others; I definitely feel you all on the insomnia suffering. 🙏🏼
