Also, the screen on this isn't something to write home about which should be considered if you only want the device for YouTube streaming.
All of the things you mentioned can be done on a chromebook or a windows tablet. If your parents watch stuff the most, then I'd suggest to get something cheaper but with a good screen.
Apart from the screen, this can handle all the things you mentioned.

If one isn't doing graphics work (only using for general use) does a 45%ntsc look bad on say youtube, etc??
This one was ticking all the boxes until saw this, sounds like 45%ntsc can = washed out colors. You need 72%ntsc to = 100%rgb color representation if I understand correct.
