I feel like you missed the other 15 pieces when comparing OPs set to the HF one.
For instance the Pits berg 3 piece u joint adapter set is another $10 so for $5 your right at the cost of this set with 8 pieces.

20 years ago when I purchased an oxygen sensor socket to change out my girlfriend's O2 sensor in a Mitsubishi Eclipse I should have learned a lesson: sometimes it makes sense to borrow a tool.
I still have that thing and have never used it again since that day.
There are tools you use regularly and tools you use once (like a strut spring compressor for example). But what you need but borrow what you have to.
