That's just what SD pulled from somewhere on the Smith site when creating the deal thumbnails. If you go to the actual product page, it does not, in fact, have pictures of anyone using this helmet for snow sports.

Is this a joke? There's no comparison between the two helmets.

"instead of my road helmet"

"I feel goofy with the helmet off" as in when I stop for breaks

Someone is just skimming comments

Why is there an attached pic of a skier wearing an unrelated helmet? This helmet is wholly inappropriate for snowsports.

Speaking of which, been in the market for a new MIPS ski helmet to retire my old non-MIPS ski helmet. This is now the 2nd helmet deal in a week I've seen for mountain biking and not for skiing. Driving me nuts!

There are often biking deals in the Fall/Winter offseason and these are last year's models. My guess is its easier to find deals on last year's snow equipment in the Spring/Summer.

Thinking of using this on the road instead of my road helmet because of the visor. Any reason why I shouldn't? I currently use a cycling cap to block the sun but I feel goofy with the helmet off so would like to ditch it.

They also have a couple of road helmets discounted to $42.50 and $60 along with others with similar discounts.

I really like my Smith Ski helmet. If I was in the market for a 1/2 lid, I'd really consider this. Great deal.

Sorry if this is dumb question, but is there a reason why I couldn't wear this just to ride around? I just ride on dirt roads around the city. Sometimes paved but not off-road at all. Been doing some reading, and it looks like I should upgrade my helmet to a MIPS helmet. This is one, and it's cheap, so....

I know you know all this but..
Do you know what feels goofy? Having them cut off a piece of your skull to relieve the swelling after some kid crashes into you while they're swiping on TikTok.

Always wear a helmet and yes this would totally work to cut down on the sun rays beaming in your face.

Get some nice polarized sunglasses and you're all set. Seriously though.. be safe out there and happy riding!!!

About the deal.. thumbs up OP for posting a bike deal.
