I highly doubt what's made now is even half the quality of 20 years ago.

I'm on 10 years on a jacket I bought used at one of their stores. My zipper broke around year 5 and they replaced it for free at their store. Retail was $500+ I think I paid less than $300. Still looks new and should last another 10. My only gripe is sometimes it's too warm so I wish it had more vents.

Yes it is like a loose version of nano air. Slightly warmer. Especially popular models like nano air and nano puff are always out of stock everywhere.
